Manage Every HLM Transaction
Hockey Legacy Manager contracts and trades affect your roster, available cap space, and future picks. This section separates each task into its own guide: negotiate extensions, build trades, sign free agents, manage waivers, or loan a player to another available league.
Choose the transaction you need
Section titled “Choose the transaction you need”Use the trades guide when players or draft picks will move between teams. A player’s contract, eligibility, and the other team’s needs can affect whether a trade is available or accepted. The guide explains the visible feedback without exposing the hidden trade-value calculation.
Use contract extensions before an existing player’s contract expires. Salary and contract length affect later cap and roster decisions, so review both before sending an offer.
Use free agency and salary cap when signing an available player or resolving a cap issue. Use waivers and roster moves when a player must pass through waivers or when you want to loan an eligible player to one of the leagues shown by the game.
Transactions involving draft picks
Section titled “Transactions involving draft picks”Draft picks can be included in trades before they are used. On draft day, eligible unmade picks can also be traded from the draft screen. The scouting and draft guides explain how prospect information, the draft order, and your upcoming picks fit together.
