Commissioner Mode and Simulation Leagues
Control Teams with Commissioner Mode
Section titled “Control Teams with Commissioner Mode”HLM Commissioner Mode lets you decide which teams are managed by the AI. Turn Active AI on for a team to leave its decisions to the game; turn it off to control that team yourself. A league selector separates the team lists when the career contains more than one connected league.
How HLM simulation leagues work
Section titled “How HLM simulation leagues work”Enable Commissioner Mode during career setup. The team you originally selected starts under your control, while the other teams in its league start with Active AI enabled.
Commissioner Mode and its team controls require HLM PRO. Without PRO, those settings are marked (PRO) and cannot be changed.
Read the Active AI setting
Section titled “Read the Active AI setting”| Setting | Result |
|---|---|
| Active AI on | HLM manages that team. |
| Active AI off | You control that team. |
The wording describes the AI state, not your control state. If you want to manage a team, its Active AI toggle must be off.
Select teams in another league
Section titled “Select teams in another league”Use the League selector above the team list. It appears when more than one league is available in the connected league hierarchy. Select a league, then change the Active AI toggle beside each team you want to control or return to AI management.
Teams scheduled to join through an expansion are included when Commissioner Mode is opened from an active career. This lets you set their AI state before they begin play.
Change control during a career
Section titled “Change control during a career”When Commissioner Mode is already active, reopen its settings and update the team toggles. The main Commissioner Mode switch is part of career creation; the in-career screen focuses on Active AI for the teams already included.
Use league customization when you need to add, remove, relocate, or realign teams. Use simulation controls after choosing who controls each team.
