Simulation Controls in HLM
Simulate Games, Days, and Seasons
Section titled “Simulate Games, Days, and Seasons”HLM simulation controls let you simulate one day, advance to a selected calendar date, simulate all games on a chosen date, or open Play By Play for your team’s game. During a calendar simulation, Stop Simulation ends the run. If HLM must pause, an alert explains why and provides the relevant actions.
How to use HLM simulation controls
Section titled “How to use HLM simulation controls”-
Open the calendar and select the date you want to reach.
-
Select Sim Day for the current day or Sim to [date] for a later date.
-
Select Stop Simulation if you want to end the simulation before the chosen date.
Simulate every game on one date
Section titled “Simulate every game on one date”Open Today Games, then use Previous Day, the date picker, or Next Day to choose a date. Select Sim All to simulate every unsimulated game listed on that screen.
Use Play By Play for your team’s game
Section titled “Use Play By Play for your team’s game”Open your game from the simulation window and select Play By Play. Before an unsimulated game, HLM checks your contracts, roster, lineup, salary cap, and coaching staff. If one of those checks fails, an alert opens instead of the game.
For a completed game, Play By Play is shown only when the game log is still available to view.
Respond when an alert interrupts simulation
Section titled “Respond when an alert interrupts simulation”HLM does not stop silently. The alert identifies what needs attention and opens the screen or action that can correct it.
| Alert | What it means | Actions shown |
|---|---|---|
| Contract Limit | Your team is over the contract limit. | Use the transaction actions shown by the alert to reduce your signed contracts. |
| Invalid Lineup | One of your controlled teams has an invalid lineup. | Best Lines, Edit Lines, or Roster Moves. |
| Invalid Roster | Your roster does not meet its league rules. | Open the roster-move action shown by the alert. |
| Invalid Coaches | Your coaching staff is incomplete or invalid. | Go To Staff. |
| You Are Over The Salary Cap | Your team exceeds the salary cap. | Trade, Lineup, Roster Moves, or Forfeit. |
Scheduled decisions and inbox notifications can also interrupt simulation. Their alerts name the event and show its available action. Resolve it, dismiss it, or choose Stop Simulation when that option is shown.
Use the Auto Simulation preset
Section titled “Use the Auto Simulation preset”Open Settings, select the presets control, and choose Auto Simulation. Confirming the preset overwrites your current settings. It enables automatic trades, free-agent signings, scouting and training assignments, roster moves, staff signings, and best-line updates after roster changes. Notifications that previously opened an alert are moved to the inbox.
Use Default from the same preset list to restore the default configuration. Both presets replace your current choices instead of changing a single setting.
If simulation closes the game or runs much slower than normal, use the crashes and performance guide instead of changing career rules.
