Coaching staff

Coaches allow you to improve certain aspects of your team such as offense, defense, power play, penalty kill, goaltending and player development.

Each coach has a rating from E to A+ in each of his categories. They also have a preferred style of play (offensive, balanced, defensive), a preferred team type (contender, pretender, rebuilding) and a preferred role (head coach, assistant coach, minor head coach).

The style of play, the type of team and the role are taken into account when negotiating a contract. These three values define the match between the coach and the team. The higher the match, the easier it will be to recruit the coach.

Coaches can also improve when the match is over 85% (70% when the coach is a former player).

You can have a maximum of four coaches. Three in your major team (one head coach and two assistant coaches) and one in your minor team (one minor head coach).
