HLM27 Feature Reveal: Minor League Control

HLM27 gives you more control over minor leagues than ever before. Minor leagues can now be managed as fully playable organizations, with their own contracts, free agency, trades, roster management, and career objectives.

Manage Your Minor League

You can now manage a minor league with much more independence from its parent organization. Minor leagues can be enabled or disabled individually, without having to disable the major league they are associated with.

When managing a minor league, you can access dedicated contract and free agency pages, giving you the tools to build and maintain your roster.

Trades and Roster Management

Minor league teams can now participate in trades. You can trade players who belong to your minor league team, including players you have signed directly.

Players loaned from your own major league team cannot be traded, but players loaned from an unrelated organization can be included in trades.

The roster editor also gives you more control over your minor league. You can assign players to the league and give players contracts directly from the editor.

Minor League Free Agency

Minor league teams can now make their own contract offers to free agents, allowing you to build your roster instead of relying entirely on players assigned from a major league organization.

The AI also takes advantage of this system and will now sign players to minor league contracts, making minor league roster management more dynamic across the league.

Minor League Careers

You can now start a Career Mode career as the manager of a minor league team.

Minor league teams receive their own career objectives, giving you goals to work toward while managing at the lower level and building your organization.

With expanded roster control, trades, contracts, free agency, and dedicated career objectives, minor leagues are now much more than a place for players to develop, they can be an organization you actively manage.

Flexible Affiliations

Minor league affiliations are no longer locked to a specific league.

Teams from the same league can now have their affiliates playing in different minor leagues, giving you much more flexibility when building your league structure. This also allows different organizations to create their own unique affiliation systems rather than forcing every team in a league to follow the same minor league setup.
